I'm guessing you are using CFX-4 and speaking about the "command file" which contains the CFX-4 commands language......
The scalar conductivity is simply the thermal conductivity of the fluid. It's "scalar" because it is isotropic. This means the conductivity is the same in all directions. Jeff |

Hello Jeff :
Thanks for your message!!! But when I change parameter in my common fileĦAI also saw the "thermal conductivity" of HEAT TRANSFER PARAMETERSĦCIf you say that the "scalar conductivity" is the thermal conductivity of the fluidĦAwhat is the thermal conductivity meaningĦAand what are different between them??Anyway thanks for your responseĦAand like below is part of my common file : >>PHYSICAL PROPERTIES >>FLUID PARAMETERS VISCOSITY 1.0000E+00 DENSITY 1.0000E+00 >>HEAT TRANSFER PARAMETERS THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY 2.000E+01 FLUID SPECIFIC HEAT 1.0000E+00 ENTHALPY REFERENCE TEMPERATURE 2.9800E+02 >>SOLID HEAT TRANSFER PARAMETERS PATCH GROUP NUMBER 1 SPECIFIC HEAT 4.400E+02 DENSITY 7.8500E+03 SCALAR CONDUCTIVITY 1.0000E+00 SOLID TEMPERATURE 2.98000E+02 Brian |

Sorry. Same definition, but for your solid region. I didn't know your problem involved heat transfer solids.
