Hi, can anyone who specialises in propeller and nozzle design help me on this one?
I recently read about kort nozzles, and got to know that the most commonly used design of Type 19a and Type 37 are actually designed in 1930 something. Have any subsequent studies and optimization been done on propeller nozzles? Is type 19a really that optimum such that there has been no change for ~70 years? |

Hi there,
Check out the work done by: Moustafa Abdel-Maksoud - SVA Potsdam You shouldn't have too many problems finding refs by him on propeller/nozzle flows using google: He's used CFX to do a lot of his simulations, check the CFX web site, some of his work is sure to be there. Regard James |
