Dear all,
In particle tracking simulation, is it possible to obtain the particle impingement information at wall, such as particle incident angle, particle velocity et al.? I need the information because I have to impose at the wall a restitution coefficient which is a function of the incident angle. I am currently using CFX 5.7. Many thanks. Wenqing |

Hi Wenquing,
The variable you want is particle impact angle. See $CFXROOT/etc/VARIABLES for a list of solver variables. Regards, Robin |

Hi, Robin,
I just noticed that particle impact angle is only available in PTM_UR, but not in CEL. Does this mean I can only use the variable in user fortran subroutine? Thanks again. Wenqing |

Hi Wenqing,
Yes, currently particle tracking customization must be done through particle user routines. Regards, Robin |
