I am trying to generate some colour images using CFX5.6 post and I suppose .eps is a very good format to get images with good qualities. The question is that the post generates the image together with the large background, which makes the file size quite large. When I insert the .eps iamge into other document (e.g. word) I have to scale or/and crop it in order to fit with text. Is there any way to set up the output of the image, say the image size, or the background size? Sometimes I don't need the images showing the axes then I get rid of it, but it seems no way to get rid of the bottom right logo, any idea? Thank you for your help

When including pictures into MS Word I use PNG files for an optimum between quality and file size. EPS/PS is a better quality but PNG's are very small in file size. Also PNG's can easily be edited using a standard picture editing program.

Thank you Michael for your advice, yeah, you are right, png files work quite ok for colour image in word. Only bit fuzzy for vectors and mesh. I will use it as an alternative, especially for thesis writing, file size can be a problem.

You could increase the pixel size to reduce the fuzzy vectors in a vector plot. Try increasing the size to 1263*1024 pixels (1,3 Mega) or even higher 1579*1280 pixel = 2 Megapixels.

Once you get the png image into Word or Powerpoint, go to picture properties (format image?) and you can crop the edges in to get rid of any axis or logos that you don't want. Of course you can just disable the axis under edit|options, but the logo is hard coded. Just make sure your model image is just inside the rectangle you'll be cropping to.
