We have AMD Opteron (64 bits) with SuSE linux. We have CFX (32 bits) work well on it.

I am not sure the maximum memory CFX can have in this system. System self has more than 2GB memory (8GB)

Hi,
CFX running on AMD Opteron runs in 32-bit mode. This will limit the CFX job size to 2GB regardless of how much memory is in the machine. Glenn |

Actually, you are not entirely correct. If you are running a 32 bit OS then you are exactly right (in fact in this case it is probably less than 2 GB).
If you are running a 64 bit OS (eg: RHEL3 or SL8.1/9.1) then even the 32 bit executables can go beyond 2GB. 2.7 GB seems to be about the limit as far as I can tell. Neale |
