Anyone know if it's possible to convert the turbulence quantities (k/eps or reynolds stresses) to a frequency distribution of pressures and velocities? That is, derive a PDF for pressure/velocity over a fluctuation frequency range?

Hi Jeff,
I'm no turbulence guru, but to my knowledge both of these turbulence models can only give you elementary information about the turbulence spectrum, such as the turbulence length and time scales. The kolmogorov time and length scales can also be worked out. That's about all you can get out of it. Regards, Glenn |
