Hi All! Currently I experimenting with CFX 5.7(not beta). It looks like partitioner requirements in CFX 5.7 is higher than in v5.6 (in my case I`m using User Specified Direction). For same definition file partitioning requirements seems to be 1.5 times higher than in 5.6. And limiting 2GB memory size arise (on Linux). So I cannot run this problem in 5.7. Very sad

Hi deLuther,
Have you tried the other partitioning options? Any comments on them? Have you discussed this with your CFX rep? Regards, Glenn |

Hi Glenn, For this particular problem I did not tried other partitioner options because computational domain is stretched in one dimension like, say, beam in FE. Previous experience with similar problem (domain has much less length) show that other partitioner options less eficient for computation? but I do not remember what hapens with memory requirement. For better representation here is excerpts from out-files: 5.6: +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Memory Allocated for Run (Actual usage may be less) | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+

Further investigation (on other problems) shows that partitioner requirements same as in previous version (5.6)... But for that case it`s not true.
