who can tell me how much the Max mesh nodes amount can be solved by CFX5? Thanks!

Hi,
If you run a large parallel job it can be huge - hundreds of millions to billions.... But pre- and post-processing might be a bit of a challenge. In my experience, on a Intel windows machine you can run a simple compressible or incompressible simulation (that is no extra variables, phases or chemistry) with 1 million nodes in 2GB ram with two processors. If you have only one processor the biggest job you will be able to run on a windows machine will be about 1.5GB. Regards, Glenn |

I think for large parallel job bottle neck is partitioner requirements. On windows machine with 1GB imposible (in my case) to partition mesh with aproximate amount of nodes of 3 millions. But on this machine under linux it is possible.
