I want to simulate the impact of a container filled with fluid when drop it from 2-m height by ANSYS. Because I am a newcomer in this field. So I have to ask some questions before run this problem.

1. Are the FLUID80 and SHELL63 elements appropriate for this problem? If not what elements are?

2. How to estimate the period of impact and the corresponding force as a function of time?

3. Is specifying displacement on some nodes necessary? If it is, where should be imposed?

4. What is the time step used in simulation?

Is there anything I forget? Thanks in advance.
