Hello everybody!!
I got a doubt about the maximum allowed nodes and elements my simulation can have. Iīm working with ANSYS 19 Academic Student version and supposedly the maximum nodes/elements are 512k. But when I start the CFX solver I got this message: License Information | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ License Cap: ANSYS CFX Solver (Max 128K Nodes) License ID: DESKTOP-3PH0E0N-Asus-20400-017147 However the solver works with no limitations. Can anybody clarify me about this? Thanks, and best regards. |

Hi Pedro,
since I'm a student as well (but working with Ansys 17.0), I thought that the max nodes number is 500k. So try it with less nodes, for example 490k and have a look if the message disappears. Keep me updated! Cheers |

Independently the number of nodes I have the message keeps showing. Donīt forget that the message is just an information message and not a error message.
I just wanted to know wich one is true, the 512k or 128k and why it works if I donīt respect this limit anyway. |

I think it is 512k (unless there is another version available?)
Check if everything is correct with the licences and its server. Check that you are connected to the right network (same as your licence works on). |

I know right, thatīs why I have the doubt cause the message of 128k nodes appears before the first iteration at the solver but it doesnīt look to influence nothing.
Notice that, the message appears but doesnīt stops anything at all. |

The message appears every time, it is just saying which license you have. Mine says
License Cap: ANSYS CFX Solver (> 512K Nodes) License Cap: Parallel License ID: hlmrmmm_nalcgov-ansys-6695-675788 on every run. Seems to be a typo in the license description. Real limit is 512k for ANSYS Student according to that link from Stuart. 1M for AIM Student, but I don't know what AIM really is. |
