Hi ,
I'm working in nuclear reactor fluid sub channel heat transfer from fuel rods walls( heat source ,with constant heat flux) to coolant (fluid domin) sub channel with mixing vane (Solid domin), So I found some difficulties as follows: 1. make good setup to deal with solid domin inside fluid domin to make the analysis of heat transfer and flow behavior. 2. define Nusselt number. |

If you are using constant Heat flux at the interface, you do not need to model the solid. Just a void in the fluid domain, where you would use a heat flux boundary condition.
Check the FAQ's for HTC and Nusselt Info: https://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansy...ficient_in_CFX |

thank u for reply, heat flux BC will apply to the walls of fuel rods interface with fluid sub channel, also i.wont elaborattion about a void in fluid domin |
