Hello Everyone,

Some basic information: I am trying to setup a turbo-machinery simulation in CFX. The setup is required to import a .csv file containing Pressure Outlet Boundary conditions.
I need to import this file into CFX-Pre and proceed with the other setup and start the simulation.

Now, when I try to created the .def file for running the simulation it creates it perfectly and starts the simulation. In my local desktop it has been running since the past 3 days and only 4 periods out of 50 periods have been completed. Since the mesh is a big file I have to run this simulation in the Super Computing (SC) Cluster.

Here comes the problem, when I take this .def file over the SC cluster to run it, it throws an error to me that the .csv file is not found. Because it tries to search the path provided by me during the setup in my local desktop.
Now I am not able to resolve this issue since the past 2 days.
Can anyone help me in figuring out this issue. The whole thing I need to do is to setup a Pressure outlet Boundary Condition using a .csv file.

Please do let me know if the above explanation is unclear.

Thank You in advance.

You need to define the path to the CSV file on the supercomputer. The easiest way to do this is to just put it in the local directory ("." - but don't forget CFX runs in a created temporary directory so you might need ".."), or you could put it in another absolute file location.

Don't forget linux/unix and windows use different slashes to deliniate directories.

But the big lesson in this is that before you do the big simulation you should do a check run on a coarse mesh and coarse time steps. Hopefully it runs in just a few minutes. Just check that all the files work and everything is OK before you invest lots of time and money into a really big simulation.

I am not sure if its possible at your institution, but I have access to a SC just like you and I can also execute Pre, Post, ... directly on it. Usually when I setup a new simulation, I do it locally, upload it, open it in Pre via the SC and check if the file links are alright.
