Hi,
I am simulating a brush seal. I have extended my inlet and outlet. But I get this error message : A wall has been placed at portion(s) of an OUTLET It is 30% of the face. One guy told me if you change it to opening, you will get more problems. So could anyone please explain me, what will be the problems by changing the outlet to opening ? I thank you in advance |

Why don't you give it a try and see what you get?
When an outlet has a wall, this wall is artifical and will prevent fluid to enter through the outlet. When changing to an opening, no artificial wall will be placed, so the fluid will enter through your opening. Then you need to define what is entering (T, concentrations, etc) and in what direction (usually normal direction). The question is whether these boundary conditions are realisatic.
