For example, take a variable area nozzle, in which only the exit diameter opens up.
In this case, we want to apply radial motion only to the edge of exit diameter. But, cfx allows mesh deformation setup only to the surfaces. Is there a way by which we can move only the edge ? Thanks. |

You can make mesh motion a function of position so you can do complicated motions. But I suspect you don't want to do that, if you posted an image of what you want to do I suspect there will be a simple way of doing it.

It's like a variable area exhaust nozzle of a jet engine.
Geometry is like a truncated cone. The smaller diameter of the truncated increases over time. I will post the image soon. Thanks :-) |
