If you have knowledge/documentation of the Fluient grid format then you could write your own grid importer using the cfx user defined grid import library?

Have you considered ICEM CFD? ICEM can read a Fluent mesh, just not sure abouth the version.

Great thanks at first!

You mean I can read the mesh by use of ICEM-CFD,and then export to the proper format which cfx-5.6 can use?

I don't know what the Fluent format is. Perhaps you could ask your Fluent service rep? I was given the impression one time that the Fluent documentation describes the format.

Try using a patran neutral file export from Fluent (.neu), and then import it into CFX-Pre. That has worked for me.
