Hi,
I am trying to use the free surface model available in CFX5.5.1. Has anyone used it and can they give me any advice on using the model. I am experiencing divergence problems. If anyone has any suggestions, please get back to me. Regards Jennifer |

Hi Jennifer,
What timesteps are you using? You tend to have to use small timesteps for free-surface problems. Are you running steady-state? It is a good idea to use the timestep for VF as 1/10 of the timesteps for everything else. Try, dt=1/f and dt=1/10f for VF, f being revolution time for your mixing vessel. |
