Hello dear ANSYS CFX users.
I'm doing simulation of turbine in CFX Turbomachinery solver. Previously I was using openFoam which is a finite volume method. I know how to prepare wall function for FVM but CFX is element based finite volume method and I am not sure if I should use wall function in the same way? ANSYS Mesher sets tetrahedrons volume as default for CFX. I wonder if I should use typical hexahedrons on wall function or just refine tetrahedron mesh enough? I would like to use k-omega SST turbulence model. I wish You best. Oskar |

Yes, the y+ parameter is the same for CFX as for other solvers.
Refined tets in the boundary layer is not recommended in most cases. Inflation layers giving you either triangular prisms or hexs is recommended. |

Thank You for Your answer, Sir. I will use triangular prisms.
Have a nice day! Oskar |
