Dear all,
i am trying to export a transient velocity profile at the outlet of a pipe flow, which i want to implemet at the inlet of another LES model in ANSYS CFX. i can export (x,y,z,u,v,w) at the outlet for every time step but i don't know how to import it in the new model for every time step. i hope that someone can help me with this problem. Best regards |

Either
1) user fortran to read inlet velocity profiles, or 2) If the inlet is planar (say x,y) you can replace z with a time variable instead. Create a big text file with x1,y1,t0,u1,v1,w1 x2,y2,t0,u2,v2,w2 ..... and so on..... x1,y1,t1,u1,v1,w1 x2,y2,t1,u2,v2,w2 ..... and so on..... x1,y1,t2,u1,v1,w1 x2,y2,t2,u2,v2,w2 and then you call the profile with the arguments (x,y,t) |
