Hello, everyone, I am useing cfx 4.4 to simulate the reactor. I want to simulate the solution for different. I use fully compressible flow and use database. I donot know how to set the parameters for these. Who can help me?

Hi,
Maybe if you could be more specific, as what reactor? Is it nuclear one, chemical one? generaly - if you define SPECIES for reactions (supposing you not model nuclear reactor), and you specify PCP database, than you can set the species with : >>MATERIALS DATABASE >>SOURCE OF DATA PCP >>FLUID DATA FLUID 'AIR' MATERIAL TEMPERATURE 3.0000E+02 MATERIAL PHASE 'GAS' >>SPECIES DATA CH4 'METHANE' MATERIAL TEMPERATURE 3.0000E+02 MATERIAL PHASE 'GAS' under >>MODEL DATA. I found it if examples, anyway. matej |

Hello,Matej,
Thank you for your quick and good response. I am simulating spinning basket reactor used for the evaluation of catalyst, a chemical reactor. The medium in the reactor is air, and I use the use database. I want to simulate the situation for reactor in different pressure, such as 2.0Mpa. I set air is fully compressible. Certainly, the density is different, I donot know how to set the parameters for compressible flow, how to set the reference pressure, and how to set the inlet patch. Really thank you again for your help. best regards, Haoxu |
