Hollo all
Could anyone can tell me. Is it posible to creat mesh in CFX5.5.1 by specifiy type of mesh (such as Hexahedral) and number of nodes in each direction. Thank you in advance. |

Yes, but you have to use the mesh only mode when you first generate the new data base. You also need to construct your geometry differently. You can not use Brep solids. All solids representing the domain must be six sided. There is a tutorial to show how to do this. Once the solid has been generated, and mesh implamented then you need to import the mesh into a new database in the import mesh only mode. This is all a little long winded, but I think things are going to be more simple in CFX5.6 ?? Bob

Hi, Jackie, you can change the mesh mode from AFI to Patran Volume Meshing in "Preference" panel in the build, using structure mesh instead of unstructured one. That's it!
