Hello everybody !
Is there someone who knows if it is possible to do Large Eddy Simulation in CFX 5.5.1 ? On another subject : how do you know where the maximal residuals are when running a computation in CFX 5.5.1 and the solution oscillates a bit. Thank you very much. Olivier |

Yes it is! Look in the RULES file and talk to your support.

LES: I don't know nothing about that, but i suppose not.
location of max res: at about the end of the .out file there's a section with "Location of max. residuals" (printing out the node No. and the coordinates (xyz)) or you can edit your def/res file and do "add expert parameter section" + "add parameter" + "output eq. residuals" then run some more steps and plot it in post (the residuals will be available as variables) |

It is possible to do LES with CFX5. I would advice you to do a search in the CFX forum, and you will see a number of responses to that question.
