Hi, Is there anybody out there who knows how to scale a geometry (say, z direction) in CFX-Post.
Thanks, Mads |

Hi Mads. Maybe using the transform command with scale as transforming method will help you. I suppose you are running CFX-5?
Best regards Jesper. |

Hi Mads,
why do you want to scale up the geometry in post? If you want to see the effect of scaling on fluid flow i guess you need to scale up in build so that the fluid flow equitions will be solved for the scaled up geometry. Let me know. Swapnil |

For some presentations it could be nice to scale the results, ie. when the geometry is long compared to the width etc. I have at least also needed the same as Mads.

Well, as Jan states, my geometry is wery long compared to the width and height (50:1:2). Therefore it is difficult to post process it. In the old CFX-view it is easy to set scaling factors in all directions.

Yes I run the CFX-5-Post. Where do you find the transform command with scale. It's not in my user interface.....I can only see transform-> rotate, translate and mirror.

Hi Mads,
I'm afraid that you still cannot do it in the 5.5.1 version of POST. The funny part is that the old and limited CFX-VIEW could do this kind of thing. Let's wait and hope that the new version of POST can bring this feature. Be well, cfd guy |
