Hello every body,
I'm completely new in CFX. I;m going to start my post PHD thesis on bubble columns using Eulerian approach. But in case study I have a serious problem. I Don't know how to define sparger as source points in the column?
now my question is:

-Does any one here knows how to model sparger using source points?
-Do I need to use an UDF?

YOUR HELP IS DO MUCH APPRICIATED.

Can you define it as just a normal inlet boundary?

Dear ghorrocks
Thanks for your fast response,
Unfortunately NO...I should model it as a source point,
I heard that there is such an ability in CFX to define a source point by giving it some coordinates and even angles for the flow exiting from sparger.
I contacted with some one who wrote this in his paper and he said that there is no need to write a UDF because there is a tool for this in CFX. I just don't know where to find it and he couldn't remember where was this tool box?
In case you have worked CFX, Have you ever seen such a thing?

You can use source point in CFX. The button is the blue square with a red dot.
I also show what settings you can/have to set. Mass flow and a velocity in some direction.
Good luck
