Can't open the database. Help Please!

I got some problem trying to open my database file (*.db) in CFX build (may be different version). When I open the file:
The first message tell me that: The database selected for opening is in an older format and needs to be updated. Please select a file name into which the database file will be copied, updated, and opened. Okay. I enter a file name under 'Copy Database' and after that I receive another message: Error reported in application APP by application Database Requested file is not a valid database I still not able to open my file then. Does anyone know why? Will the model created in CFX5.5.1 work properly in CFX5.4.1? This happens because I now transfer my work to another server (with larger capacity but maybe different CFX5 version). Thanks for your time. |

Hi
Are you trying to open a CFX-5.5.1 database in CFX-5.4.1 ? You won't be able to do this since there was a change in the database version between these relaeses. A workaround is to export your geometry in either Patran Neutral File or IGES format, and import this into your new CFX-5.4.1 database. Sharks |
