Hello,
in IC-engines-design it is customary to use a 1D-gasdynamic program to simulate the whole motor. For a better simulation one simulates part of the motor, for example intake or exhaust manifold, with a 3d-CFD-program for a transient simulation. The 1D-Gas-Dynamic-program provides transient boundary-conditions for the 3D-CFD-program. The 1D and 3D-Simulations are done at the same time. 1D-gas-dynamic-programs are for example GT-power boost (AVL) wave (ricardo) GT-power can be coupled with Star-CD and Fluent, Boost with "Fire" (AVL), wave with "vectis" (ricardo). Is there a 1D-Gas-Dynamic program that can be coupled with either CFX5 or CFX-Tascflow. Has anybody done such simulations? Thank you for your advice! |
