Has anybody a workaround for reading .db files generated under AIX 4.3.3 (IBM UNIX) in CFX5build running under windows 2000?

Hi Bart,

The only time you can't do this is when you are trying to open a database created by an older version of the code. Otherwise, the database translation should occur just fine between AIX and Win2K.

You mean it can be done with CFX 5.5.1 or with 5.5?

Bart,

I think Robin tries to explain the following.

Unix 5.5 -> Win2000 5.5 OK

Unix 5.5.1 -> Win2000 5.5.1 OK

Unix 5.5 -> Win2000 5.5.1 Not OK

I tried it with Linux -> Win2000 and conversion worked out that way.

Great thanks,

I must say that this is a better way to communicate with the CFX helpdesk than the direct way. keep up the good work Robin.
