Hi,
I am trying to calculate an expression in outlet as a function of pressure in last time step.
Searching into the forum I learned to define a new AV and modify it as follows:
LIBRARY:
&replace ADDITIONAL VARIABLE: OldPressure
Option = Definition
Tensor Type = SCALAR
Units = [Pa]
Update Loop = TRANS_LOOP
Variable Type = Specific
END
END

As you can see I have modified the update loop to get the pressure data at old time step.
Then I define the AV as follows:

FLUID MODELS:
ADDITIONAL VARIABLE: OldPressure
Additional Variable Value = Pressure
Option = Algebraic Equation
END

I also do the 1 iteration initialization with Zero.

The problem is: I monitor Pressure and OldPressure and they are the same. It seems I do not get the Pressure in old time step. WHY?
Any comment? It seems several people has managed to do it here.
Thanks

Hi
I have also had similar problems, with (avgvol Temperature gradient(x,y,z)).

We would appreciate if someone could explain in a simple way how translooping can be done

Because I would really like to use it more.

It is a pity that this does not already have a dedicated button in cfxpre.

I have read everything about it here on the forum but other than here not much can be found about it.

Can it only work for single value or can it be a domain variable. Single valued worked for me once, but I must be doing something wrong now.

So I am also wery interested in this topic.
Thank you

Hi,
Have you settled this problem?
I'm also troubled.
