I carried out a transient simulation in CFX.

I find time averaged and time resolved velocity contours in the papers.

I confused about difference between time-averaged results and time-resolved results and their physical meaning.

What values are we getting when we plot velocity at given time? is it the local velocity?

Also, what is the proper way to find time averaged and time resolved velocity components at some location in the domain?

Thank You
