hi all, Do anybody know how to calculate the pressure drop across the strainer in the suction pipe of a pump? The general eqn for pr.drop is (cv)*v*2/2g. What will be value of (cv) in the case of a strainer? This is a bucket strainer for water in a suction pipe of 1000mm diameter at 30 deg C. regards RVM
