Hello guys,
just a short and probably simple question: I made some changes in the mesh and restarted the calculation. Now Ansys restarts the calculation starting from the last time step of my previous calculation. How can I clear the results so that Ansys really restarts the calculation starting from time step zero? Thanks in advance! (I use Ansys 17.2) |

steady-state or transient? Using Workbench?
You can start the transients calculation with -ini-file. That sets the "current timestep" counter to zero. If you don't need the old results any more, delete the out and res files and the folder that gets created (xxx_001). Or just start the calculation from the def file in a new empty folder. |

Hey Maxim,
I use the workbench and the calculation is steady-state. If I delete the files .res and .out and start the „solution“ in the workbench the following error shows up: |

You could just delete all files except *.cfx (that's the CFX PRE file) and the *.def file (that's the solver file). If you then don't define any initial file/continue from a file, it should start from zero. |

i guess you can start with again doing "initialize". in this way you can start again same solution set which is after little change |
