Unsteady output

I seem to recall that CFX 4.2 outputs the normal and tangential forces on wall patches in the output file for steady flow. Why is this not the case for unsteady flow (i.e.: multiple time steps)? Is there any way to make the code output this information for unsteady cases, short of pulling out the raw data myself and writing a routine to process it?

Hi there, I think what you are looking for is this command in the output options:
>>OUTPUT OPTIONS :>PRINT OPTIONS >>WHAT WALL PRINTING END >>WHEN EACH TIME STEP END You'll still need to write a program to strip the force data out of the .fo data file though. Hope this helps. Regards James |
