Hello everyone,
I am trying to model a fluid model with CFX. Currently, I have divided my module into 3 fluid domains. The problem I met is that a face of one domain has to be defined as an interface boundary with two faces of the other two domains. However, an error will exist that 'one or more of the locations specified for this interface is already being used for another interface, or is used on both sides of this interface'. I'm a new one in CFX. Hope for help and I would appreciate that very much. jackeyson |

CFX cannot handle this. A face can only be in one interface. You will need to split the face so each section of the face is only in one interface.

You probably need to imprint a face (form multiple faces from one) in design modeler.
(you can do this via extrude function only on unfrozen bodies or via bolean operator this one doesent care if it is frozen or not but you need multiple bodies to do it) I dont know exactly as I dont know what your geometry looks like. this is just my first thought on your problem. |

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. But I do not fully understand what you mean about frozen or unfrozen bodies. |

It looks like one body in your picture, are there three?
Why are there 3? You could have one and avoid any interfaces Boolean operator -> unite is uset to join them together If you for some reason need 3 bodies than you will need to imprint faces on the largest cilinder vhere tvo smaler tubes conect. for this use boolean -> imprint face |
