Hi everyone,
I would like to characterize the behavior of a variable using a parametric study. Specifically my simulation has as objective the evaluation of time required for filling a deformable fiber preform having a certain porosity. The study is done in transient and the characterization must be done by changing the stiffness of the fiber. Using the solution update the numerical scheme converges, but when I try to start the parametric study with the same parameter that first guaranteed a good solution (and that is the only input parameter), the result is completely different. Also the mesh is the same Good solution with stiffness of 50 [MPa] Starting the parametric with with the same settings as the previous case: I'm using Ansys Student CFX 17.2 Does anyone know what is due to the error? Thanks |

Check the Solver run configurations . On Initial Values tab, for a transient analysis, you should pick "Initial Conditions".
If you let the default option "Current Solution Data (if possible)", when you run a second solution, it will take the final step data from the first solution and use it as initial condition. |
