MissCFD Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2014 Posts: 160 Rep Power: 12	Can somebody explain me why when the water flows through the Francis turbine its pressure reduces ? What happens with the speed differential $\frac{V^{2}_{2}-V^{2}_{1}}{\rho g}$ if we consider 1 as the inlet of the runner and 2 as the outlet of the runner. $V_{1}$ is higher than $V_{2}$ ... Thank you for your help.
