Default gas velocity at sparger

i am using CFX4.3.my question is regarding the reference example 41 given in the online help of CFX4.3,there, a sparger is provided alongwith a draft tube,to demarcate the flow into riser&downcomer.a source term is given.how to calculate the gas velocity issuuing out of the sparger.
