Hi CFD-Friends ,

I receive the Error "Floating point exception: Overflow" at the 13th iteration.

Here is my situation: I am simulating CO2 in a tube. The simulation works fine when the inlet is the tube diameter (10mm).
I would like to see the effects of decreasing the inlet-diameter to 0.2mm. When I do this I receive the Error I mentioned.

Sorry for the typo in the title. I mean Inlet not Outlet...

Does anyone have a solution? I already tried changing the mesh to coarse (no effect).

I would be very grateful for some help!

check what your mesh looks like at that hole.
The mesher might just left out that small circle,
you must have some elements inside that 0,2mm circle that means that you need very small elements on that face,
probably smaller than 0,1mm.

changing the mesh to coarse will only do worse, as you need fine or just face sizing of 0.1mm on that hole surface.
If you have automatic mesh based defeaturing ON I dont see why the mesher would hesh that face It obviously depends on your geometry
but i dont know what it looks like so..

Just a thought, might be something else.
