Hi, is it possible to measure the distance between two points in CFX Pre?

I inserted a new expression: probe(Axial Distance) @ <Location>
But when I try to evaluate the expression ist says:
"ERROR Attempt to evaluate the CEL callback function 'probe'.
Although it is valid to create an expression that
uses such a function, the preprocessor does not support
its evaluation."

Do I need to insert Coordinate Frames? Can I measure the distance between Coordinate Frames?

Thank You very much!!!

The error means that CFX-Pre can't evaluate the expression, but this doesn't mean that Solver can't. The question is what for do you need to evaluate this.

Have you tried probe(x)@<location> instead of Axial Distance? Try using one of the default spatial variables (x, y, or z). I think the variable "Axial Distance" only works once you have initialized the flow-path in Turbo mode in CFD-Post.

Won't work (in Pre) either.

Okay. Can you describe the context of what you are trying to do? What type of problem is this and what are you looking to accomplish from this expression? There may be a better way.

I dont think there is a way to measure distance between two points in Pre. But this will work: load the mesh into Post, create a line between the two points and then create this expression: length()@Line 1

My apologies. It looks like you have this one under control now.
