SceneGraph.dll problem when running RSM on CentOS

Hi All,
We are running RSM locally. RSM submits the simulations to the cluster in the cloud (with CentOS, Ansys 17.1, PBS Pro, Intel MPI). CFX simulations work well in such a setup. However, when we are running design points -based simulation we get the error: [ERROR] Failed to load addin Ans.SceneGraph.SceneGraphAddin from location /share/data/software/ansys_inc/v171/Addins/SceneGraph/bin/Linux64//Ans.SceneGraph.dll. This addin will be skipped.: SceneGraph.Components.dll System.DllNotFoundException: SceneGraph.Components.dll In this folder there are following libraries available: -r-xr-xr-x 1 hpc hpc 543232 Apr 1 2016 Ans.SceneGraph.dll -r-xr-xr-x 1 hpc hpc 58368 Apr 1 2016 Ans.SceneGraph.Interop.dll -r-xr-xr-x 1 hpc hpc 4375582 Apr 1 2016 libSceneGraph.Components.so and then this error appears: [FATAL] Unexpected error: CommandFailedException: Unable to load project '/share/data/ansys_projects/uvux7md9.hfx/impellerTest.wbpj': Ansys.Core.Persistence.ContainerLoadFailedExceptio n: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for Ansys.UI.Graphics.Diagnostics ---> System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for Ansys.UI.Graphics.Diagnostics ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8000ffff): Failed to create object d00ef79d-1541-4efb-814d-ba543ef7e549 Any hint how to solve this problem will be appreciated. Maybe incompability with CentOS is a problem since ANSYS does not support this Linux Distribution ? Should we then recompile the SceneGraph library? Hi Lukasz,
I can't help you with your specific problem but give a quick note about my experiences with CentOS and RSM. I set that up so that I can send jobs from workbench (windows) to my little cluster (centOS). It worked most of the times but sometimes it would freeze up or cancel the simulation with no explanation. Furthermore, I would lose synchronization in SolverManager with the calculation on CentOS often. The SolverManager just would not get any more data from CentOS. Pretty useless. I am starting jobs via command line now - at least that works as promised... Oh - my Ansys dealer/support guy said that they usually use CentOS since that works best with Ansys. Better than ubuntu etc. |
