Hi everybody,
I am trying to simulate evaporating multiphase flow in diffuser of centrifugal compressor. There is water injection near the air inlet. The water particles are evaporated to water vapour in domain of diffuser. I use Euler| Lagrange approach. The mixture is continuous fluid and is consisted from air ideal gas and H2O(water vapour). H2Ol (liquid) is set as particle transport fluid with diameter 4e-6 m and mass flow rate 8.6e-5 kg/s. The water is injected from Particle injection region. I have a problem with convergence of energy imbalance and mass fraction imbalance. You can see on figure. I use a tutorial file for set up the exercise (Spray dryer). I defined a homogenous binary mixture with saturation properties (Antoine equation). The turbulence is set as SST model. I tried to fine a mesh, but it is without improvement. I also assume that the number of water injection particle is big around 320 mil. particle with this diameter and mass flow rate. Do you know where the problem should be? I rather enclose CCL with my setting. |
