This subject has been discussed before, but still not clear for me.
Using CFX, steel dispersed solids in water. Got the error message shown above, but if it is SOLID steel what Viscosity can you enter? Thanks in advance. |

I have enetered 0.1 Pa s for dynamic viscosity which is similar to crude oil at -15C (iced) and behaves like a solid, a fair assumption for sand grain. Possible to try higher values like 1 for heavy crude at -15C. Information can be found in text books.
To do the above, select USER material. Please let me know if there is a better way. |

Through User material selection , if for example steel dispersed solids. Call the material my-metal, copy and past all the needed steel properties from the software Steel material data base. and then run. Did not get the viscosity warning message.
