Used this expression to read velocity on a rotating disk about z axis.
probe(Velocity u )@point

where point is a source point on the disk edge. Got this error message when run"illegal argument for callback function probe (Velocity i-n Stn Frame u)@SP1.

ALSO

wrote an expression to read torque on the same disk using this expression.
torque_z ()@disk face

and got this error message at the set up stage. Although it is valid to create an expression that uses such a function, the processor does not support its evaluation.

Hope someone can help out. Thanks in advance.

What release version of ANSYS CFX are you using ?

The error for the torque_z()@SP1 expression is correct since the pre-processor cannot evaluated a quantity that depends on the solution. The ANSYS CFX Solver, and the post-processor should be able to do so once the solution has been computed.

I cannot reproduce the first error, but it seems like a typo in the expression.

It is possible that there is a minus in "in"? That might be the typo...
I do use Source Points and the probe command for pressure values - so that should work in theory...
