Hi,
If one has to perform several simulations, involving different boundary conditions and geometry, is it necessary to perform a grid independence study for each individual case? Or is there some methodology one can apply? Im studying the discharge coefficient dependence on reynolds number and geometric configuration of a multiphase convergent nozzle. Thanks in advance. |

A grid independance study is normally applicable to a class of similar flows of similar characteristic parameters (Reynolds Number, Rayliegh number etc).
If you want to be sure you can always check. As you know what the mesh sensitivity is likely to be it should be quick as you just need to confirm it rather than finding it from scratch. |
