In Ansys-APDL media, we can add two areas with Add instruction. So in non-Cylindrical volumes we add many areas easily too. But in Cylindrical Volumes we have to changing WP to add sidelong areas.
Now my question is : How can we do it? it means How can we add two areas around a Cylinder or around of any Cylindrical volumes? And What changes must be do in WP system? |

Although this was wery hard to understand I will try to answer anyway.
If you want to have multiple areas on the surface of a cilinder (or any other object) you can easily do that in DESIGN MODELER. The function is called IMPRINT FACE. First you need to unfreeze the body so you can work on it. Than you make a sketch so you can set a line (or what ever you like to imprint on the surface of the cilinder) Than EXTRUDE it and select an imprint face comand. Those lines that you draw in the sketch will than divide the surface into multiple surfaces. |
