Dear all,

I have presently done a steady state analysis for a single stage axial flow compressor stage and the results are staisfactory.
But, I was keen enough to do a transient analysis in CFX-pre and to my demise everytime I run the CFX solver manager the errors that are being shown are :

COEFFICIENT LOOP ITERATION = 2 CPU SECONDS = 3.833E+02

I am a newbie in transient and I have just tried my hands on transient analysis, so pls. If anybody could help with troubleshooting this error I shall be really glad.

Thanks

Have you read the FAQ about this error and worked your way through the steps?
http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansys...do_about_it.3F

You should post your CCL and/or your complete OUT-file and maybe some screenshots of your mesh.

Dear Maxim,

As I had already mentioned, steady state runs fine with the boundary conditions that I am using, but when it comes to transient analysis it gives the errors. I have attached the image files here.
If you would still require the CCL and the mesh file I shall upload that also.

Thanks
-Rohit

Rohit, please read through that FAQ carefully. If your simulation runs with a certain mesh quality in steady-state, it doesn't automatically mean, that it will run in transient.
Also your time step settings are important. 0.1 minute seems way too high to me.

Some simulations require small time steps to start, but once going the time step can be increased.
And yes, please upload your CCL and/or OUT file and upload screenshots (detailed view) of your MESH.
Your max. coefficient loops are too high. The goal is to have them around 5-10.

I would suggest you do some transient tutorials and use that knowledge to set up your calculation
