Hi all,
I was wondering if I could get some suggestions concerning which turbulence model I should use for calculating the drag of a supersonic bullet (M=1.5 to M=3). I am trying to obtain the cD value in the end...I am relatively new to ANSYS CFX, however, I do have mediocre knowledge of the theory (could at least follow your train of thought hopefully). Please let me know what you think is best (references also much appreciated)! At this point, I am thinking of using SST... Thanks, Chris |

I always recommend you use SST unless you know of a really good reason not to. You have not mentioned anything which discounts SST, so go with it.
