Hi All,
I am looking at a cooling simulation of an electric motor and i want to specify the heat source term of the motor per unit volume. Is there a way this can be done in CFX? So far i am only able to specify the flux. Thanks! Jimmy |

Yes: Define a sub domain and put a heat source on it.

I have already defined the motor housing as a domain-Can I also define the same motor housing as a sub-domain? Or you can only specify volume heat source when you define the dody as a sub-domain?
Thanks for your help. Jimmy |

A sub domain can use the same mesh region as a domain, or it can use a sub group of a domain.
