Hi all,
I'm using ANSYS CFX to model couple water and thermal transfer in soil media. CFX supplies porous media which can be used to model soil, however I don't know how to assign soil water content for the domain. are there anyone can help? Thank you very much

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how to implement the Richards equation in Andy’s cfd or fluent. I am trying to model rain infiltration in soil. I want to know how the heat exchange rate changes as soil becomes more wet.
Thank you,

I have no idea what Richards equation is. But I might be able to implement it in Andy's cfd if you define it for me.

Make sure you are aware of the porous and solid material models available in CFX as you might be using them.

I think you can use the permeability and porosity in ANSYS CFX to run a soil model with water infiltration. The CFX model uses Darcy's Law so I don't quite know how much different it is from Richards equation.
