Dear all,
Hi. I am trying to model a shell and tube heat exchanger for heat exchange/transfer but I am facing this error. | | | Interpolation of Initial Values | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | | | ANSYS(R) CFX(R) Interpolator 15.0 | | | | Version 2013.10.10-08.49-130242 Thu Oct 10 11:12:50 GMTDT 2013 | | | | Executable Attributes | | | | single-64bit-int32-supfort-optimised-noprof-lcomp | | | | (C) 2013 ANSYS, Inc. | | | | All rights reserved. Can somebody please help me out. I have tried everything. Changed interpolator settings, etc. Is something wrong with the mesh. I have changed settings in that too. I have stuck in this for the past few days. Please help. I am also attaching snapshots of designmodeler, mesh, and CFX Pre. God bless you for helping me. |

you are interpolating from initial values. Is that intended? Maybe you have to adjust those initial values so that they fit better.
Have you tried to restart the simulation from scratch without initial values? Have you tried to give the interpolator more memory? When I get those "Stopped in routine MEMERR" errors, usually my partitioner or solver run out of memory... |

Are you changing meshes between the previous and new run ?
If you are not, you can bypass the interpolator step by using mesh from initial values file. |

Thank you Maxim and Opaque, although I finally solved the problem before seeing your posts. Actually what I did was that in C3 : CFX - CFX-Solver Manager in Define Run→Global Run Settings-Initial Values→Initialization Option, I changed from "Current Solution Data (if possible)" to "Initial Conditions" without checking/marking the Initial Values Specification box. I don't know what happened but it worked. I would be grateful if somebody could give me an explanation. God bless you.
