Hello,

I have a question about the Resistance Loss Coefficient in a Porous Media. It has influence on the Pressure Loss trough the Porous Media, but I want to know how exactly that is calculated/caused.
I couldn't find any information on this in the ANSYS Help Documentation so I hope that I get some help here.

Greetings,
Phil

Hello Antanas,

yeah that is going in the right direction. Would you tell me where this graphic comes from? And if there is more on that topic?

Greetings,
Phil

Image is from CFX introductory course and this is the only image concerning porous domains there. You can find more info in CFX help. For ex. see sections 1.8.1.1, 1.8.1.2.

Ah okay, that's good to know.

I already read 1.8.1.1, 1.8.1.2 but sadly that wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you for your support

The equation says that the Resistance Loss Coefficient has a quadratic influence on the pressure loss and the Permeability has a linear one. Is that right or did i misinterpreted that?
