hi,

I was solving a transient problem (Workbench 14.5 - cfx) , and suddenly while cfd-solver was running my computer shut down.

Now in related folder there is 50 GB .trn files and a .out file. But there is no .res file.
How can I solve it? Can I recover it?
Or simulation should be started from beginning?

Please help me, ASAP

use your .trn files.
they are results at each turn i am guessing or result at given timestep.
run your simulation using last turn as initial value if you have not reached steady state yet!

Dear kapi,
thank for your reply,

I use last trn file as initial condition and it works.
Unfortunately CFD-post does not show previous results and just shows new results.
as I mentioned there is no res file in related folder.

hi
you must active this in cfx pre.
cfx pre-insert- export parameters-I/Q control-delete backup files-value=f
and in in out put control active interval time step

You could load the previously saved .trn files in CFD Post, not sure why you're not being able to. You could that by using 'Load Case' and select all .trn files.. Or alternatively, in 'Time Step Selector' add the time steps by selecting the .trn files..
Apart from the above, i am sure you would find necessary help in CFD Post manual.

Dear fresty,
Thanks for your reply.
I have tried a lot.
During simulation I have stopped it about 15 times and one time my computer shut down unexpectedly. (But all trn file are available).
In case of unexpected shut down there is .trn file and .out file but there is no res file.

When I load last trn file in cfd-post some of trn files are missing . let me explain with an example:
Assume there is 100 trn of files in 10 folders (10 file in each folder). When I load No 100 trn file, files of folder 5 are not loaded. (No 50 to 60 trn files are missed). But while I load trn file No 60, all trn files (1 to 60) are loading correctly.
Also, When add missed trn files using 'Time Step Selector' no file is added.

Please Help me ASAP
